Description

Moscato di Pantelleria DOC, a sweet wine from the Lago di Venere winery, represents an authentic emblem of its territory: in fact, the product is made exclusively from native Zibibbo grapes, originally from Arabia and introduced to Sicily by the Phoenicians. The company dominates the wine scene of Pantelleria with its traditional methods and with a philosophy based on the recovery of the typical authenticity of the past. The mild climate, the sunny exposure and the clayey character of the soil favor the optimal ripening of the vines in the area. Endowed with a delicate and ethereal elegance, Moscato di Pantelleria DOC is warm and soft on the palate, by virtue of a large and round body. The bunches are harvested by hand in crates, so that only the best are selected: then part of them is left to dry on special mats. The fermentation of the fresh and dried grapes takes place simultaneously, in contact with the skins and with the addition of wine alcohol at the end of the process.
