Schioppettino di Prepotto Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC is a wine produced at the Vigna Petrussa winery in Prepotto. The company represents one of the historical realities of the area and stands out for its labels full of personality and structure. The grapes come from the Schioppettino vines, grown on soils rich in marl and sandstone, better known as Ponka. The positive influences of the dry climate with large temperature ranges help to give greater expression to the product. After the harvest, the best bunches undergo a slight withering, before proceeding to fermentation, through maceration on the skins with alternating pumping over. The refinement takes place in oak barrels for 24 months and for 6 months in the bottle, where the product rests before being put on the market.
