Nero d'Avola "Siccagno" is a red wine classified as Terre Siciliane IGT. It is produced by the Arianna Occhipinti farm in Vittoria, in south-eastern Sicily. "Siccagna" is the nickname of this grape, which is particularly concentrated because the vineyards are not irrigated. Nero d'Avola "Siccagno" is produced using exclusively Nero d'Avola grapes, an autochthonous vine of Sicily that gives a characteristic imprint to this wine, able to tell its land. It is in fact a wild wine, but at the same time fresh and elegant, passionate and full of contrasts as only Sicily can be. Arianna Occhipinti, one of the most popular female producers in Sicily, has been following natural production philosophies for years and belongs to the famous Triple A association, the first in Italy to collect and promote wines and producers of this kind. The harvest takes place in the first ten days of October, followed by fermentation on indigenous yeasts and refinement, first in oak barrels and then in the bottle. Nero d'Avola "Siccagno" is an organic wine, produced without any type of chemical intervention, which therefore guarantees respect for the environment in which it is born. It is a wine of character, velvety and elegant, ideal to serve with meat dishes and aged cheeses.
