'Tellus Syrah' Lazio IGP Falesco Fam. Cotarella 2020

The Lazio Syrah IGP Tellus from the renowned Falesco winery of the Cottarella family is a very interesting wine, a red made with 100% Syrah grapes; a very resistant vine with still uncertain origins which is characterized by its constancy and continuity in production. It is no coincidence, in fact, that the Falesco company has decided to focus on this grape which expresses itself very well throughout the Lazio region. A rich and well-balanced wine that has received several awards, including that of the Essential Guide to Italian Wines signed by the well-known food and wine journalist Daniele Cernilli. Immediately after the harvest, to enhance the freshness of the fruit, the grapes undergo a cold pre-maceration, followed by a vinification in steel, after which the Lazio Syrah PGI Tellus ages for 5 months in second passage barriques. The result is a silky, enveloping wine with a persistent finish, a well-structured red that stands out for its freshness.
