Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description
Tortoniano Barolo DOCG is a red of remarkable character and robustness made with great skill by the Chiarlo Michele winery. It comes from Nebbiolo grapes vinified in purity, grown in the noble area of the Barolo DOCG appellation. Here the vines are found on soils of gray calcareous-tuffaceous marl rich in minerals, dating back to the Tortornian era, i.e. about 9 million years ago. At the time of harvest, which falls in October, the grapes are selected with care and attention, in order to use only the best ones. The production process of the wine then includes the phases of pressing, fermentation in steel and finally a long period of refinement: 24 months in large barrels and then at least one year in the bottle. Once this period is over, Tortoniano Barolo DOCG is ready to be drunk, however to better appreciate its qualities it is preferable to let it age in the cellar for a few more years.
