'Villa Gresti' Vineyards of the Dolomites IGT Tenuta San Leonardo 2018

The Villa Gresti red wine from the Tenuta San Leonardo winery is obtained from a blend of 90% Merlot and Carménère grapes for the remaining 10%. The vines are grown on the Trentino hills characterized by a calcareous and clayey soil, rich in mineral salts. This characteristic, combined with the favorable climate, ensures the production of high quality and very aromatic grapes. This winery is a point of reference in the area for the production of wines, enhancing the territory and combining tradition and innovation. The production process is studied in detail right from the harvest which takes place in late September when the bunches have reached full maturity. Fermentation takes place on the pomace for a prolonged period of time before proceeding with maturation which takes place in French oak barriques. At the end of the production cycle, a balanced and full-bodied wine is obtained, with a good structure. An important bottle.
