Large Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for white wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile and this is possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description

Launched in 1998 (with the 1995 vintage), Yattarna is the result of one of the most comprehensive, focused and highly publicized wine development projects ever conducted in Australia. Ambition, across generations of the Penfolds, has inspired the winery to embark on a project to create a great white wine to complement the Grange. Selectively using only the best Chardonnay grapes from the most suitable Penfolds vineyards, a classic vinification in steel is carried out, this wine then ages for 8 months in French oak barriques.
Yattarna reflects Penfolds' patience and continued commitment to his original goal, his very name being taken from the Aboriginal language, meaning 'little by little, gradually.' White with character, structured, but with great olfactory finesse, notes of tropical fruit that emerge clearly. Round, soft on the palate, intense, perfect with baked white meats, very persistent at the end of the tasting. It is a wine with a marked longevity, which can reach 15 years from the harvest date. Excellent!
