The Calvados VSOP Chateau du Breuil with the Calvados Pays d'Auge AOC appellation is produced in France, precisely in Pont d'Élêveque. It is obtained from the distillation of apples, according to very specific company dictates. 27 kg of apples are used to obtain a bottle of this product!. The processing involves the careful harvesting of the fruit to obtain the juice which then, through maceration, will ferment to evolve into cider. The latter, to become brandy, will be distilled in the first and second passage until the desired alcohol content is reached. It then rests in oak barrels for a minimum of 4 years. The Calvados VSOP Chateau du Breuil is a fine and elegant Calvados, with hints that are very reminiscent of the starting fruits. If consumption, on the other hand, is postponed for a few years, hints deriving from the passage in the barrel during the aging carried out in the company's cellars may also be perceived.
