Derthona is a wine that is born in the Vigneti Massa cellar. The company, located in the Colli Tortonesi area, is considered an important reality of the place, as a pioneer of a type of production that is careful and respectful of the environment and, above all, for having rediscovered and valued, all over the world, a vine extraordinary, but forgotten like Timorasso. The grapes for this wine come from vineyards located 300 meters above sea level, on calcareous and clayey soils and facing East/North/West. The temperate climate also contributes to the best yield of the bunches. After the harvest, cold maceration takes place for about 45 hours. Then we proceed with the fermentation for 12 months in steel tanks, with the suspension on the lees for another 12 months. All the working phases take place without the addition of sulfur dioxide. After 14 months from the harvest, it is bottled and subsequently put on the market. Derthona is a fresh and savory white wine perfect for immediate drinking but can also evolve in the cellar for about 3 years.
