'Galea Bianco' Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC I Clivi 2018

Galea Bianco Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC is an aromatic wine made by the I Clivi winery. It is obtained from the single-variety vinification of Friulano grapes, a very widespread historical local variety. The vineyard, facing south and which gives its name to the label, is located almost on the border with Slovenian territory. Here the ancient vines sink their roots into a soil that boasts a high percentage of limestone and clay. Organic cultivation allows the plants to grow healthy until they are harvested by hand and transported to the cellar. Without destemming, the whole bunches are gently pressed and then left to ferment spontaneously in large stainless steel tanks. The refinement involves a rest of a year and a half in contact with the lees in steel containers. Excellent immediately, Galea Bianco Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC can evolve further if stored with extreme care for up to 4-5 years in the cellar.
