Vinopuro's advices

Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

Description

The Gattinara DOCG produced by the Antoniolo winery is an intense and structured red wine. Obtained from the single-variety vinification of Nebbiolo grapes, this red belongs to the homonymous denomination of controlled and guaranteed origin (docg). A real enological excellence, which is also very successful outside of Piedmont. The company's vineyards extend for over ten hectares and within them there are vines that in some cases are even over forty years old. The production area, located in the north of the region, can boast particularly favorable climatic conditions for producing wines with an excellent structure, as happens in the case of the Gattinara made by Antoniolo, an important Piedmontese company. Once the Nebbiolo grapes, an autochthonous vine representative of Piedmont, have been carefully selected, the Gattinara is aged for a period that can vary from eighteen to thirty months. This phase is always followed by refinement in the bottle. The result is a full-bodied red, perfect to accompany rich dinners with friends.
