'Il Frappato' Terre Siciliane IGT Frappato Occhipinti Arianna 2020

The Arianna Occhipinti Frappato from the Arianna Occhipinti winery is a juicy, sanguine and elegant Sicilian red. This wine is a Terre Siciliane IGT born in Vittoria, south of the Iblei mountains. The soil on which the vineyards grow is of medium consistency and the grape variety is 100% Frappato di Vittoria. The winemaking process takes place with spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in cement tanks for about forty days. Subsequently the wine is aged for 14 months in Slavonian oak barrels. After a month in the bottle and no filtration, this aromatic red is ready to be marketed. Arianna Occhipinti Frappato is an excellent red to drink now, but which can also be left to rest in the cellar for a few years. This wine best represents the spirit, philosophy and land of the young Sicilian entrepreneur who has always adopted cellar methods and practices to produce her wines in the most natural way possible. It belongs to the French Triple A Association, the first in Italy to gather producers of natural wines, or those who, in full respect of nature, minimize synthetic chemistry in the vineyard and in the cellar.
