The still red wine Cortona Rosso DOC In Violas is one of the most representative products of the Terre di Poliziano winery: in 2006 the prestigious farm gave life to the ''In Violas'' project, aimed at enhancing the great potential of Cortona DOC wines. Lying along the Arezzo hills, Cortona dominates the Val di Chiana: an area with a high wine vocation particularly favorable to the cultivation of Merlot and Syrah. The first is the vine used alone for the production of Cortona Rosso DOC In Violas. The value and high quality of the vine meet the great experience of the master winemakers. The black pruinose berries undergo a complex winemaking process which gives the final wine its characteristic aromatic breadth. Elegant, intense and harmonious, this excellent red shows its best over time thanks to a considerable aging capacity. A wine for the whole meal that is well suited to an informal dinner or to the classic Sunday lunch, based on meat.
