The history of the Parusso family began in 1901, when Gaspare, the great-grandfather, purchased land in the Mariondinio area, the first ever vineyard owned by the company. However, the turning point came in 1986 when the Vigneto delle Munie, in the Bussia area, was purchased and the family of farmers transformed into a family of winemakers, maintaining a strong bond with the territory and with their values. From that moment a path began in which progress and continuous experimental techniques merge with winemaking traditions. The Parusso company is, today, family-run and has been for four generations. Marco Parusso and his sister Tiziana lead the company with great passion and respect for values and traditions, with the aim of producing authentic and genuine wines. The winery is located in the heart of the Langhe, in the center of the Barolo area and extends over approximately 23 hectares. The structure is located precisely in the Bussia area, on the hilly side that descends from Monforte d'Alba towards Castiglione Falletto and overlooks the municipality of Barolo, in the heart of the DOCG. In this area there are different types of soil which give a rich and diversified soil. In fact, each vineyard has its own characteristics; for this reason it enjoys a particular micro climate and requires specific interventions in order to best express its characteristics. The company has therefore developed a "microzonation" of the soil to personalize the processing, fertilization and pruning as much as possible and to obtain wines that are therefore an authentic expression of the territory. Production is around 120,000 bottles per year and is mainly concentrated on the native Langa vines, namely Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo. Parusso produces harmonious, elegant and balanced wines, with excellent "freshness" and tannicity. characteristics capable of giving great evolution over the years.
