Cantina Rotaliana

The Cantina Rotaliana is located in the heart of the Piana Rotaliana, at the foot of the splendid Dolomites, near Lake Garda and the city of Trento, famous for the Ecumenical Council of the Catholic Church held between 1545 and 1563.
      
The Cantina Rotaliana has more than 80 years of history behind it.
Founded in 1931 as the Cantina Cooperativa of Mezzolombardo, the current company was founded in 1968 following the merger with another cooperative in the area, Enologica Rotaliana. The new cooperative winery changes its name to Cantina Rotaliana di Mezzolombardo and, immediately, begins to play a leading economic role in the rural community of Mezzolombardo. In fact, by becoming members of the cooperative enterprise, small and medium-sized winemakers can finally count on a company capable of providing concrete answers to their economic, social and cultural needs.
For years the company has been involved in a series of changes, including the construction of new and very modern systems and the adoption of new winemaking techniques.
   
In the early 1990s the company expanded its factories in the center of Mezzolombardo, with the construction of an underground cellar to create new capacity. Nonetheless, the continuous increase in turnover, in the number of members (292 winemakers) and in the quantity of grapes processed, push the Board of Directors to find a new headquarters.
   
In 2011 the new headquarters, equipped with modern production and storage areas, splendid cellars and elegant marketing areas, was expanded again. Thanks to a significant investment, over 5,000 square meters of new multifunctional spaces have been inaugurated which host fermentation, storage and aging areas as well as elegant meeting and tasting rooms.
   
All this makes Cantina Rotaliana an extremely competitive wine company, capable of responding promptly to the challenges of global markets.
