Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description

The Valtellina Superiore DOCG Mazèr wine from the Nino Negri winery is a product from the Nebbiolo vine, locally called Chiavennasca. A red with an important persistence, the excellent result of the work of a winery that has made the history of Valtellina winemaking for more than two centuries. Following the rigorously hand-picked collection at the end of September, the Valtellina Superiore DOCG Mazèr is produced by combining a part of grapes left to dry naturally plus a part consisting of grapes subjected to a traditional winemaking process. After this assembly, a phase of one year and 4 months of aging in French oak barrels takes place. A stay in steel follows and a long maturation of one year and 8 months in barriques. From this process comes a harmonious red with great elegance. Properly tannic, as only Nebbiolo can be. It is no coincidence that this wine is one of the undisputed symbols of the historic Nino Negri winery.
