It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

The Valtellina Superiore Inferno wine is produced by the Aldo Rainoldi winery. It is a historic winery in Valtellina, based in the province of Sondrio, which offers consumers wines of great personality and absolute value. It is made with Nebbiolo grapes, in particular in the municipalities of Montagna in Valtellina, Poggiridenti and Trevisio. The harvest is done by hand in the second ten days of October. The winemaking process begins with a slow maceration; the wine is then placed in steel tanks for fermentation. Finally it matures in oak barrels and the subsequent refinement in bottles takes place in dark and cool cellars. This phase lasts approximately 9 months before being put on the market. The Valtellina Superiore Inferno Rainoldi 2015 wine takes its name, Inferno, from the homonymous area where in the summer the small rock terraces reach particularly high temperatures.
