Mezcal Masparillo Tears of Dolores 70 Cl

Mezcal Masparillo is one of the fine distillates of Lágrimas de Dolores. The Lágrimas de Dolores distillery, based in Mexico, was born from the passion for this particular distillate and has been operating in this sector for about a decade, always experimenting with new production methods. Mezcal Masparillo is the perfect example of this great dedication: it is produced exclusively using Masparillo agave, a very rare variety of agave and only available in small quantities, cultivated by Lágrimas de Dolores itself with great care. Harvested at the sixth year of age, the plants are placed in a pit in the ground for cooking; once cooked, these are taken and milled, while the resulting juice is left to ferment for about seventy-two hours in wooden tubs. This phase is followed by the fundamental double distillation, after which the Mezcal Masparillo is immediately bottled. The end result is a pungent and intense distillate, with an unforgettable taste from the first sip.
