'Morar' Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Valentina Cubi 2010

The Morar Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG is an intense and structured red wine from the Valentina Cubi winery. The label is the result of a blend of native vines which mostly includes Corvina grapes (70%), with the addition of Corvinone (25%) and Rondinella (5%). The vineyards are located on the hilly terrain of Fumane, precisely in the localities of Monte Tenda, Monte Crosetta and Rasso. The skilful work between the rows culminates in the meticulous harvest with selection of the best bunches. Before vinification, the grapes are left to dry for about three months to obtain a higher sugar concentration. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation follows at a controlled temperature. The refinement involves a passage of about three years in barriques and large wooden barrels, to then conclude with a rest in glass for 6 months after bottling. Morar Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG boasts good potential for evolution, as it reserves pleasant surprises even after 5-6 years of careful conservation.
