Pinot Nero Umbria IGT Castello della Sala Antinori 2020

Pinot Noir Castello della Sala is a red wine classified as Umbria IGT. It is produced on the Castello della Sala estate owned by the Antinori family, which boasts a centuries-old tradition in the wine sector. We are in Umbria, not far from Orvieto and the border with Tuscany. The vineyards are characterized by calcareous soils rich in fossils and sedimentary sands, which give the Pinot Noir Castello della Sala wine a marked minerality. For the vinification, only Pinot Noir grapes are used, a vine native to Burgundy, in France, from which some of the best red wines in the world are born. The harvest takes place at the beginning of September and after crushing and destemming the grapes are cold macerated for a few days. Subsequently the fermentation begins, initially in stainless steel containers and then in barriques, to finish with the refinement in the bottle. Pinot Noir Castello della Sala stands out for its elegance and refinement, it is a soft wine that does not however hide an evident minerality.
