Riesling 'Praepositus' Alto Adige-Sudtirol DOC Abbazia di Novacella 2020

The Praepositus Riesling DOC is an excellent dry white wine signed by Celestino Lucin's Abbazia di Novacella , a winery that stands out for its ability to enhance a unique territory such as that of the Val d'Isarco since medieval times. The owned vineyards rise at an altitude between 600 and 900 meters where, thanks to the soil rich in minerals, they find the ideal environment for producing structured and complex fruit. Obtained from the vinification of 100% Riesling grapes, Praepositus Riesling DOC is the result of a skilful work that begins with expert manual skills in the vineyard and continues with a respectful process in the cellar. In order to preserve the varietal characteristics of this semi-aromatic vine, the wine rests for about nine months in large steel tanks. It is perfect to be consumed shortly after bottling during a fish dinner, but not only, even if it boasts a structure that allows it to rest for three or four years in the cellar, acquiring increasingly intriguing scents.
