Description

A very interesting variety in Alto Adige, the Kerner (Rhenish Riesling x Trollinger) from the Niklas winery is a very important wine, a Riserva. This wine is produced from 40-year-old vines and over, on hills between 460 – 550 m asl The vinification and fermentation takes place through cold maceration in contact with the skins. The must ferments in 500-litre oak barrels and rests on the fine lees for 18 months, always in the barrel . The result is an intense, dry and wonderfully spicy white wine. Fruity, mineral and rich, complex and elegant. Great wine!
