Recommended glass
Glass
Ballon flute
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for classic method sparkling wines (or champenoise) and champagne: being narrow, with a pointed bottom, it favors the development of bubbles (perlage), avoiding their dispersion; the body of this glass is a little wider than a classic flute and favors the perception of more intense and complex aromas.

Description
Champagne Brut Special Cuvée Bollinger is the emblem of a long tradition that began in 1911, the year in which a British salesman of the already well-known Bollinger maison decided to give a suggestion on the name of this wine, the entry level of the prestigious Bollinger range; he thought that ''brut sans année'' did not fit the prestige of champagne and for this reason he proposed the adjective ''Special'', written precisely in English. And so it was. The wine naturally finds its origins in the Champagne region, in north-eastern France, where the 160 hectares of the Bollinger maison supply the Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes, which are skilfully combined for the production of Champagne Brut Special Cuvee Bollinger. The qualitative characteristic that most distinguishes it from other "signed" champagnes is undoubtedly the perfect combination of a small percentage of vintage wines and a prevalence of reserve wines that are used in this cuvee. This practice is normally reserved for high-end champagnes. The sparkling process takes place according to the strict rules of the Champenoise method, known in Italy as the Classic method, which involves refermentation in the bottle, which is then followed by the refinement of the organoleptic characteristics of the sparkling wine on its lees for a period of approximately 36 months: truly precious and fundamental time as regards the quality of the finished product and really long compared to what is required by the specification and what is proposed by many other maisons. This champagne is a wine of extraordinary elegance and richness, pleasant and satisfying. Its striking freshness makes it particularly attractive to be tasted again and again. It is certainly not lacking in structure, but, in a perfect balance, it is truly fragrant. An excellent aperitif, but not only...
