Description
Valpolicella Classico DOC is a wine produced in the Le Ragose winery in Arbizzano di Negrar, in the province of Verona. The family-run company was founded in 1969 with the sole aim of enhancing a unique wine-growing area through passion, research and the desire to experiment. The grapes come from the Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella vines and 10% of other authorized ones, grown on soil rich in clay and limestone, facing south-west and mitigated by favorable winds. After the manual harvest, destemming-crushing takes place and, subsequently, fermentation on indigenous yeasts takes place. Aging takes place in Slavonian oak barrels of different ages, to best respect the aroma and flavor of the soil which give the wine greater expressiveness and character. The final refinement takes place in steel tanks. Valpolicella Classico DOC is a pleasant and fresh wine, perfect for immediate drinking, but it can rest in the cellar for 1 or 2 years.
