Terre di Pisa DOC Rosso Veneroso is a wine produced by the Tenuta di Ghizzano winery. The vineyards where the grapes to produce this wine are grown are located in the municipalities of Torricella, Santa Maddalena and Chiesina, in the Pisan countryside. The blend is mainly composed of Sangiovese grapes, to which a smaller percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon is added. The harvest of both grapes takes place exclusively by hand to preserve the previously carefully selected fruits. The vinification consists of a fermentation on indigenous yeasts in oak barrels at a controlled temperature, followed by an aging phase inside oak barrels for at least 16 months. It all ends with a year of aging in the bottle, which allows the Terre di Pisa DOC Rosso Veneroso to seal all its complex scents. Perfect for a dinner with friends based on succulent dishes, this intense and full-bodied red is ideal to be enjoyed after a few years of rest in the cellar, as the excellent tannins and the important structure allow for a good evolution of the wine.
