Description
Cuordilava Dolce&Gabbana Etna Rosso DOC is an intense and structured red wine, produced by the Sicilian winery Donnafugata . Created in collaboration with the well-known fashion house, the label is obtained from the vinification of grapes of the local Nerello Mascalese variety. The plots are located near Randazzo on the northern slope of Etna. The harvest is expected towards the first ten days of October with manual selection of the best bunches. Once in the cellar, the grapes are de-stemmed and pressed. This is followed by alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks, which coincides with maceration on the skins and lasts just under two weeks. The wine ages for a year and two months in fine oak barrels, and then rests for another two and a half years in the bottle until it is put on the market. Cuordilava Dolce&Gabbana Etna Rosso DOC is perfect immediately, even if it can reserve pleasant surprises after 7-8 years.
