Friulano 'Brazan' Collio DOC I Clivi 2018

The Friulano Brazan Collio DOC of the I Clivi company was born on the southern slope of Monte Quarin. We are located in Brazzano di Cormons, a wine district known for the production of excellent quality white wines. Here, in fact, the Gorizia Collio finds its maximum expression thanks to the flysch, the typical Friulian soil rich in marl, clay and limestone. The Pighin family, owner of the cellar, has made the recovery of native vines its mission: the Friulano vines are approximately 80 years old and every intervention in the vineyard is carried out exclusively by hand. The harvest usually takes place in mid-September and the bunches arrive in the cellar whole, without having undergone any destemming. After the initial fermentation on indigenous yeasts, the wine rests for 18 months in large steel tanks. The Friulano Brazan Collio DOC I Clivi , with a good structure, is a white ready to be tasted immediately or after a short aging in the cellar.
