It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description
Gess Valtellina Superiore Grumello DOCG is a full-bodied red wine produced by the Dirupi winery. It is obtained from the single-variety vinification of grapes of the native Chiavennasca variety, the term by which Nebbiolo is known locally. The grapes come exclusively from the Gess vineyard, located near Sondrio at 500 meters above sea level. Here the soils are rich in granite, an element that gives great finesse to the grapes. Human intervention is limited to allow the vines to grow in a favorable environment until the moment of careful manual harvesting. The vinification begins with the alcoholic fermentation of the grapes, which coincides with the long maceration on the skins for almost a month. For the refinement, oak barrels of variable dimensions are used, where the wine rests for at least two years. Gess Valtellina Superiore Grumello DOCG stands out for its considerable potential for evolution, given that it can reserve surprises even after 7-8 years.
