'Istante' Vineyards of the Dolomites IGT Rosso Franz Haas 2019

In the heart of the Dolomites, in Alto Adige, the Istante Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT red is produced by the Franz Haas winery. The family-run company, which has been producing wine for 7 generations, was founded in 1880 and the only goal has always been to offer bottles of excellent quality. The grapes come from the Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot vines, typical in these predominantly sandy and very hot areas because they are exposed to the south-west. After careful selection, the harvested grapes are processed and fermented in open vats, followed by malolactic fermentation in barriques for 18 months. The maturation process, lasting about 1 year, takes place in bottles. Instant Vineyards of the Dolomites IGT it is an elegant and structured wine, perfect for immediate drinking, but which can evolve in the cellar for about 3 or 4 years, thanks to its longevity.
