Lugana DOC Reserve 'Sergio Zenato' Zenato 2019

Lugana DOC Riserva Sergio Zenato is an intense and fragrant white wine that reflects the production philosophy of the Zenato winery. It is obtained from the single-variety vinification of Trebbiano grapes, a vine that is locally known as Turbiana. From the clayey and chalky soils of the Lake Garda area, the vines are able to draw the nourishment necessary to grow optimally. The mild climate and the winds blowing from the north help to create an ideal environment. The manual harvest is first followed by destemming and then alcoholic fermentation, which takes place for 70% of the grapes in oak barrels and tonneaux and for the remaining 30% in steel. The refinement includes two distinct phases, the first of which involves a rest of six months in wooden barrels, while the second a permanence in the bottle for one year after bottling. Lugana DOC Riserva Sergio Zenato is a white wine that can also be appreciated following a further evolution of 4-5 years.
