Founded in 1956, the Maison Peyrot has its roots in the great passion transmitted to Jean and Mathilde by their great-grandfather Jean Baptiste, a famous oenologist who began to make himself known way back in 1893. The Maison has now been involved in the production of of original quality Cognacs. The Peyrot adventure begins with 7 hectares of vineyard area. The Cognac produced by Jean and Mathilde was quickly marketed throughout the Grande Champagne region. Year after year, the brand solidified, until it crossed the French borders and became known internationally. Production increases and with it the vineyard also grows. Today, after years and years of success and hard work, the Maison's vineyard area is 25 hectares. Over the last 20 years the company has dedicated itself body and soul to improving the quality of the grapes. It did this by using cutting-edge technologies that respect the environment, maintaining an intact balance between flora and fauna. The one practiced is organic agriculture which bans pesticides and fertilizers of chemical origin. All this is combined with rational management of the vineyard and controlled production costs. Like the work in the vineyard, that in the cellar is also meticulously controlled, so that the final consumer can enjoy a product with impeccable organoleptic qualities. The entire structure, where dim light and natural humidity are at home, smells of evaporated alcohol and different wood essences. What you breathe is an alchemy of flavors and aromas. Since its birth, the Maison Peyrot has created a vast range of liqueurs whose basis is the house's special Cognac. In fact, each elixir is the result of the perfect blend of fruit, aromas and brandy. Among the best-known proposals created by the Maison, in addition to the Liqueur au Cognac Poire, a pear-based specialty, there is the famous coffee and Cognac liqueur.
