'Piaggia' Carmignano DOCG Riserva Piaggia 2019

Carmignano Riserva is a structured and particularly intense red wine produced by the Tuscan winery Piaggia. Piaggia's production philosophy is extremely clear. In fact, the cellar uses only indigenous yeasts on which it ferments the grapes selected and harvested with extreme care. These belong to a blend of vines typical of supertuscans, in comparison with which this red wine certainly does not look bad: they are Sangiovese (70%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Merlot (10%). Left to age for a year and a half in French oak barriques and another six months in the bottle, Piaggia's Carmignano Riserva is a truly elegant wine, perfect for accompanying important dinners. It can be enjoyed young, but it also reserves great surprises if left to rest in the cellar, where it can easily age up to ten years, guaranteeing an excellent evolution of all its scents. The result is an unforgettable and enveloping red with a long persistence.
