Description
Marta Galli Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC is a full-bodied and fragrant red wine from the Venetian winery Le Ragose . It is obtained from a blend composed of 50% Corvina grapes, to which are added Rondinella (15%), Corvinone (15%) and finally a remaining 20% of other red grape varieties permitted by the specification. The vines grow on soils characterized by the presence of red clay and limestone, which give the grapes great elegance. Only the best bunches are selected in the vineyard after a light drying of about 20 days and then transported by hand to the cellar. Here the vinification begins between September and October with a two-week fermentation on indigenous yeasts in steel tanks. The refinement, which lasts for two years, takes place in French oak tonneaux of various toasting levels and mixed origins. Marta Galli Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC is excellent right away, but can become extraordinary after 3-4 years of meticulous conservation.
