'Costa del Vento' Derthona Vineyards Massa 2020

Costa del Vento Derthona is a fine white wine made by the Vigneti Massa winery, dedicated to the original interpretation of the Colli Tortonesi terroir. It is mainly obtained from Timorasso grapes, a local variety that the company has developed over the years with great success. On the vineyards that rise about 300 meters above sea level, the vine finds a particularly favorable environment, thanks above all to the south-west exposure and the composition of the soil. With a view to preserving the characteristics of the terroir, the work between the rows takes place in the name of sustainability and an artisan approach up to the moment of the accurate manual harvest. What characterizes the winemaking process is the very long maceration on the fine lees which can last up to 10 months. The refinement involves the use of glass, as the wine rests for over a year in the bottle. Costa del Vento Derthona Vigneti Massa is a white that can be enjoyed immediately, even if it is capable of long evolutions of up to 7-8 years. Spectacular.
