Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

Gigondas Chapoutier is one of the classic wines of the French winery Chapoutier Michel. The area from which it comes is the Gigonda, whose soil is sandy and pebbly. The vines that give life to this red are four: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. The grapes of these vines are rigorously harvested by hand when they have reached full maturity. Even the vinification takes place according to traditional methods: the grapes undergo different decantings that take place on a daily basis. Subsequently, a part of the wine is aged in oak barrels and then mixed with the rest of the same vintage. Before conquering the market and your tables, Gigondas Chapoutier is left to rest in the bottle for about twelve/sixteen months in the cellar. The wine obtained is a red that is fine on the palate, with floral notes that give it a certain elegance. An evolved and mature wine, interesting.
