'Giunco' Vermentino di Sardegna DOC Mesa 2021

The Vermentino di Sardegna DOC "Giunco" is a wine of great quality and excellent freshness, proposed by the Mesa winery, an emerging winery in Sardinia. The production area develops in the southern part of the region, precisely in the locality of Sant'Anna Arresi, located in Sulcis. The Vermentino vineyards can develop in all their strength and beauty, thanks to the excellent winds of the mistral and rather scarce rainfall. The soil of alluvial origin is rich in mineral substances, including clay and sandstone. The best grapes are carefully selected by hand and placed in boxes in the first days of September. The soft destemming of the grapes is followed by the alcoholic fermentation, which takes place in stainless steel containers for a few weeks. The refinement ends on the lees of the same wine and lasts at least 4 months. Fresh and refreshing, but still with a good structure, Vermentino di Sardegna DOC "Giunco" is an excellent example of a high quality wine and can be consumed immediately.
