The 'Grand Vintage' Moet & Chandon is a vintage born in Champagne , the north-eastern region of France, home of the most appreciated sparkling wine in the world and where the method of producing the famous bubbles, called Champenoise/Classic, was invented and perfected. A well-drained, calcareous soil defines much of the region and lends the characteristic mineral component to its wines. The cold and continental climate of Champagne promotes ample acidity in the grapes, but the climatic differences, from year to year, can give the berries particular characteristics that give life to the "vintage" (millesimati). Grand Vintage Moet & Chandon is blended as follows: 50% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay, 14% Meunier. Fruity and floral notes emerge on the nose, with nuances of biscuit and vanilla.
