'Kaplja Bianco' Venezia Giulia IGT Podversic Damijan 2018

Kaplja Bianco Venezia Giulia IGT is a wine made by the Gorizia winery Damijan Podversic . This label is the fruit of a blend in which international and local varieties meet. In fact, it is obtained from Chardonnay, Friulano and Malvasia Istriana grapes, present in balanced percentages. On the slopes of Monte Calvario are the vineyards, which are cultivated according to practices that respect the delicate ecosystem. After the harvest, the fermentation on the skins in oak vats is foreseen, which lasts from two to three months, with various pumping over. This step allows the wine to acquire the typical color with orange hues, consistent with the style of the appellation. The wine ages for about two years in wooden barrels and is then bottled without undergoing filtration or clarification, before resting for another 6 months in glass. Kaplja Bianco Venezia Giulia IGT is excellent immediately, even if it reserves pleasant surprises even 4-5 years after bottling.
