Malvazija Venezia Giulia IGT Skerk 2020

Malvazija Venezia Giulia IGT is an aromatic and mineral white wine produced by the Skerk winery. To make this label, Malvasia grapes are vinified alone, a variety that stands out for its fruity aromas. On the Karst terroir this vine has found the perfect conditions to produce grapes of remarkable refinement. Among the rows, the company adopts sustainable practices to protect the delicate ecosystem. The grapes are harvested in mid-September and transported to the cellar where destemming takes place. Spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels is preceded by more than two days of maceration on the skins. The refinement takes place in oak barrels for about a year. Before bottling, the wine does not undergo any filtration to maintain the amber nuances due to the long maceration of the grapes. Malvazija Venezia Giulia IGT is best expressed shortly after bottling, when freshness and minerality fully emerge.
