Description
Ponkler Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC is an elegant red wine from Franz Haas , a company that stands out for its ability to faithfully portray mountain viticulture. To make this label, the best Pinot Noir grapes are carefully selected, grown within the Ponkler cru. Here the vines benefit enormously from substrates with good porphyry components, as well as from favorable sun exposure. At the end of practices carried out methodically between the rows, the grapes are harvested by hand and transported to the cellar, where fermentation takes place in large open tanks. After completing the malolactic fermentation, the wine ages first for a year in oak barriques and then in glass for two years. Ponkler Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC is excellent right away, even if it can be opened with great satisfaction after 3 or 4 years of rest in the cellar.
