Recioto della Valpolicella Classico DOCG is an elegantly sweet red wine, produced by the Brigaldara winery, a reality that enhances the peculiarities of this historic denomination. It is the fruit of a blend that includes the native dark grape varieties Corvina (55%), Corvinone (25%) and Rondinella (20%). The vines reach twenty years of age and are cultivated using the classic Veronese pergola system. The owned plots are located on particularly suitable lands, where the microclimate and sun exposure create the ideal conditions for the development of the plants up to the harvest. Towards the second half of September the harvest takes place with manual selection of the best bunches, which are then placed to dry in the loft. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with maceration on the skins is followed by aging in large wooden barrels for two years. Excellent right from the start, Recioto della Valpolicella Classico DOCG is a red capable of reserving pleasant surprises even after a further evolution of 5-6 years in the cellar.
