Very Old Agricultural Rum Vintage 1970 Clement Rum 70 Cl Box di Legno

The Clement maison produces Vieux Rhum Agricole respecting the rules of the AOC. The purity and richness of the cane juice are fundamental in the production of a natural rum. The production area is at Domaine de l'Acajou. Distilled in 1970, after an initial phase of aging in oak barrels for a period of about 15 years, the rum is left to rest for other years in wooden barrels at the Habitation Clément. At sight it has a dark amber color. Hints of raisins on the nose, dried fruit, wood and tobacco. On the palate we find it smooth, velvety and complex, raisins, apricots and dehydrated dates emerge which are followed by tobacco, toasted bread and woody notes. It has an unexpectedly long finish. Ideal after dinner, especially if served in large glasses and able to open its magnificent bouquet.
