'Saltner' Pinot Nero Riserva Alto Adige DOC Cantina di Caldaro 2020

Saltner Pinot Nero Riserva DOC is an elegant and structured red signed by the Cantina di Caldaro , an important reality in the Alto Adige wine scene. It is obtained from the exclusive vinification of Pinot Noir grapes, which, thanks to the soils with a good percentage of limestone, is expressed in a fine and elegant way. The vines are at least 10 years old and rise at an average altitude of 500 meters above sea level, where they enjoy an excellent south-east exposure. After a careful harvest with selection of the best bunches, the vinification begins with an alcoholic fermentation in oak barrels and maceration on the skins for two weeks. The following refinement continues in wood: the wine is stored with extreme care in barriques and tonneaux for 12 months. The final result is an intense and refined wine. Saltner Pinot Nero Riserva DOC is a red that can express itself in an excellent way right away, but also after 3 or 4 years of rest in the cellar.
