'61 Franciacorta Nature Blanc De Blancs Millesimato Berlucchi 2016

The "61" Franciacorta Nature Blanc De Blancs Millesimato is a "non-dosed" sparkling wine that represents the essence of Chardonnay in purity, also because it comes from a single vineyard called Arzelle, a real cru. This term in the local dialect means "burned by the sun" and the favorable exposure to the sun contributes to the optimal ripening of the bunches, together with the special microclimate that enjoys the proximity of Lake Iseo and the breezes of Valle Camonica. We are in the lands of Franciacorta, which already boasted a strong enological vocation at the time of the Lombards. Today there are over 100 producers of sparkling wines and among these the Berlucchi winery stands out, which in 1961 created the first Franciacorta and which is, today, considered one of the Italian excellences in the world. The "61" Franciacorta Nature Blanc de Blancs Millesimato benefits from aging in barriques and subsequently from a 5-year maturation on the lees. It is a zero dosage sparkling wine, i.e. bottled without the addition of dosage liquor, therefore pure. Extremely dry, clean, vibrant, to be uncorked on the occasion of important celebrations.
