Altenberg Riesling Auslese From Othegraven 2017

The Altenberg Riesling Auslese is a sweet wine signed by the Von Othegraven winery, located in the German area of the Upper Moselle. It is obtained from the vinification of only Riesling grapes, a variety that expresses itself in a unique way at these latitudes. The particularly high sugar content, favored by a late harvest which allows for maximum concentration in the fruit, is accompanied by the good acidity typical of the vine, highly enhanced also by the composition of the soil, with significant rock and mineral components. After a careful selection of the best berries, the grapes are left to ferment only on natural yeasts and subsequently vinified in steel. Altenberg Riesling Auslese is the perfect match after a meal, when it will be able to amaze guests with its truly original aromatic notes. By virtue of its structure, it is advisable to consume this sweet wine within a few years of bottling, in order to be able to appreciate its freshness and hints of ripe fruit and its minerality.
