Description
Passi di Orma Bolgheri DOC is a structured red wine produced by the Tuscan winery Podere Orma . It is obtained from a blend composed of Merlot (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (35%) and Cabernet Franc (25%), which gives life to a Bordeaux blend typical of the great reds of this denomination. In the area of Castagneto Carducci the vineyards benefit from the winds blowing from the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea and from an environment that is generally very favorable to the development of the vine up to the harvest. After having carried out a first soft pressing, the grapes are left to macerate on the skins for about 20 days. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in steel vats. The refinement is rapid, as it lasts only 6 months, but allows the wine to acquire complex scents thanks to the use of precious French wood barriques. Passi di Orma Bolgheri DOC boasts an important longevity, by virtue of which it can be appreciated with great satisfaction after 5-6 years.
