Malvasia Venezia Giulia IGT Podversic Damijan 2019

Malvasia Venezia Giulia IGT is a white wine with intense aromas, produced by the Damijan Podversic winery. It is obtained from the vinification of Malvasia Istriana grapes only, a native variety characterized by an unmistakable aromatic profile. On the south-facing vineyards, the plants plant their roots on the substrate that the locals call "ponka". It is a marly and sandy soil that favors the luxuriant growth of the vine. When the bunches complete their ripening, a manual sorting is carried out. Once in the cellar, the grapes are subjected to fermentation with maceration on the skins in oak vats for up to a maximum of three months. This is followed by aging in large barrels, where the wine remains for three years, before resting for another year in the bottle. Perfect immediately, Malvasia Venezia Giulia IGT boasts an extraordinary longevity, because it can surprise even after a few years of rest in the cellar.
