The Barolo DOCG "Percristina", from the Domenico Clerico winery, is a great red wine with enveloping tannins and an important body, of extraordinary elegance. The company is located in the Monforte d'Alba area, in the Langhe, where the cultivation of vines is favored by the clayey nature of the soil and the presence of a small amount of sand in the soil. As a vine, Nebbiolo is used in purity, as per the disciplinary obligation, native to Piedmont and expression of a close link with the land and the Langhe tradition. The cellar is considered one of the major wineries in the area, able to offer wines of great value. The aging process of Barolo DOCG "Percristina" is divided into three phases, the first of which takes place in barriques, the second in larger oak barrels and the third in the bottle. The result is an imposing, elegant red, broad on the palate, intense, with vigorous but never annoying tannins, distinguished by a pleasant balsamic finish. Clearly, given the type of grape and wine, we are dealing with a product with a long, very long life, stored correctly. This wine also has a high sentimental value, as it is dedicated to Domenico Clerico's young daughter, who died prematurely.
