The Alto Adige Pinot Nero Riserva DOC from the renowned South Tyrolean winery Sankt Michael Eppan / San Michele Appiano is an elegant red wine, the result of one of the oldest cultivated vines in the area, Pinot Noir (although of French origin). A difficult variety, which presents itself as a real challenge, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Produced from a 100% vinification, this South Tyrolean Riserva fears no comparison with international Pinot Noir wines. The result of a harvest carried out between the end of September and the beginning of October, the Alto Adige Pinot Nero Riserva DOC follows a fermentation in steel, after which it is aged for 70% in barriques and 30% in large barrels. The refinement lasts 1 year. Subsequently the wine is blended, then left to mature again in wooden barrels. The result is a refined and complex red, a wine with a full sip that emerges for its balance, its elegance and its excellent persistence. A high quality label with great aging potential.
