Description
Synthesis of the Chapters Merlot Friuli Isonzo DOC is a red wine produced by the Ronco Del Gelso winery. It is obtained from the vinification of Merlot grapes only, an "international" variety that has found a suitable environment on the Isonzo hills to express itself at excellent quality levels. The work in the vineyard is aimed at preserving the delicate balance that allows the vines to produce elegant and structured grapes, thanks to the mineral substrate. On the rows the grapes are brought to slightly overripe, in such a way as to obtain a perfect concentration of sugars before the harvest. A long maceration is accompanied by fermentation at a controlled temperature with the use of only selected yeasts. The subsequent refinement in large oak barrels lasts 2 years and allows the wine to acquire a pleasant complexity. Excellent already after bottling, Sintesi dei Capitoli Merlot Friuli Isonzo DOC reserves pleasant surprises for those who choose to wait up to 5-6 years.
